Alfa GT JTD Cylinder Head

Hi to all,

Just recently bought a GT it's my first diesel ... i've already have a 156 2.5 V6 S3 which i was planning to get rid of, bu i might have to think again!!

My problem ... i noticed a large carbon/soot build up under the engine cover, it appeared to be centred around Injector 2 (Left to Right).

When I fired up the engine there was obviously a leak, at first i thought it was the injector but upon closer inspection there apears to be a hole just next to where the injector inserts.

My Question ... is a cylinder head replacement required?

The Engine had a top end rebuild 15 months ago by an independant ... maybe it's been torqued incorrectly.

I'm absolutely gutted ... and convinced the previous owner knew about this.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated
