156 after accident - not reving above 4,000
Unfortunately I crushed my 156 V6. It was hit on the back right side (very hard crush).
A few hours after the accident, in order to start the engine again I disconnected the battery and re-connected it (I think the system needed a "re-set" or something).
Since then I tried moving the car and noticed two things -
1. Check engine lamp burning.
2. Engine will not rev above 4,000 RPM.
1. Is it possible that the "Check engine" is on because of the disconnection of battery and that its all a matter of giving the system a proper reset?
2. Is it possible that the engine will not rev because the check engine is on? meaning - is there any "built in" protection?
If not - can it all be a result of problem with fuel feeding after the accident ?
Other ideas and advice are welcome!
Thanks in advance,
