Big end bearings
Started working on Mike2909's 2.0TS 156 tonight. History is that it was bought as a non-runner (huge amounts of big-end noise) and had a snapped cambelt a few thou ago which was repaired.
No.1 bearing is practically non-existant (pics to follow), and the bolts that held the con end cap on were loose (one was slightly bent).
The crank journal doesn't look too bad. It's slightly oval - 50.46mm one way and 50.73 the other...which I think might be borderline ok??
Questions are: Is the crank re-usable, preferably without taking it out to be re-ground, and is it possible to get over-size bearings that could accommodate this amount of wear?
