V6 at idle...

.... should a 2.5 V6 at idle 'burble'?

just after firing up the replacment V6 for my friend/customers car. at idle it burbles, almost like its missing on one cylinder but it drives very well, loads of poke.

this is my 1st v6 transplant so i'm nervous in case *something* else is wrong.

i dod disconnect each injector lead, 1 at a time, & as each were removed the engine idles roughier ... so i'm guessing...no, hoping its ok.

Burbling sounds ok, but hard to tell without hearing it!

If you had the inlet manifold off, did you replace the gasket?

+1 Mine is very smooth but you know it's a not a 4 cylinder due to the noise even when ticking over. Maybe you're just used to T. sparks etc?
