Alfa 147 Occasional Soft Clutch

Good day gents,

I have a 147 02 reg with about 96000 miles on it, drives beautifully. Occassionally tho, like once every week, the clutch pedal just goes soft for a few seconds. This does not affect the gear shifting at all, there is no crunching or difficulty changing gears. I also notice that most times, it happens when i'm in slowing down to downshift to second gear.

Any idea what this is about?

Yeah i think mine does this too occasionally - i remember thinking i wish the clutch was that light all the time! not sure why it does it, probably just due to slight movement in the mechanism over the course or a journey.
might be worth bleeding any air out of the clutch though, to see if it makes it more consistent - i'm going to try this at some point.
