Hmmm help needed please, 156 over heating

hi, everyone my 156 has decided to over heat today, i know its not the resister cos i only replaced it last week, am i right thinking that it is fitted with a 2 speed fan, i've had a look at it and the relays are fine and both fuses are intact, however when i took out the 30 amp fuse i noticed that the conector and wiring loom are missin and therefore the fuse doesn't actually conect to anything, any idea's why this is and/or are they all made this way??
please help.
