Nice work! I understand the AA are paying for the new waterpump and fitting of it, and a new cambelt as well, but are they also paying for the tensioner and both idlers that need changing when you change the cambelt? As the belt can be bought seperately, I would imagine the AA would only offer to pay for the belt, because the tensioners and idlers will be working fine and it is not their duty to replace them. A cambelt is £40, the cambelt kit is £200+!!!
In this case, you really should buy the tensioner and idlers yourself and get the garage to fit them at the same time as doing the belt. Otherwise this whole saga won't "count" as a cambelt change, because the parts most likely to cause belt failure aren't being replaced along with the belt.
Worth getting them to change the spark plugs as well if they haven't been done in a while too, as the inlet manifold has to come off to replace the cambelt. Who is doing the work? Make sure they have the correct cam locking tools.
