thanks' for all the helpfull advice, if we were in the pub I would be buying, I have done a fair bit of reading about the 156 and the cambelt change procedure, I am an engineer so I understand whats required to do the job, the thing is that I am living in Sweden, the car is in the UK, so I guess my question is where would be the best place to take my car to get the cambelt changed at a reasonable price, the car is in Lincolnshire and my route back home will be from Lincoln down to Dover, then- france, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Sweden. I have an Alfa Dealer here in town but I would rather have the belt changed before I leave the UK and Maybe change the oil and filter at the same time. So if anybody knows someone who is good at this and can do the job for fair money please let me know, the car has done less than 12k so I wont be changing the water pump or the variator, it will just be the cambelt and maybe the aux belt if needed and of course change the oil and filter, the rest I can do myself when I get her back in the workshop, thanks' guys for the advice about the car, your a good bunch and this is a great forum.
Kind regards to all,
