Hi folks, long time no post. It's looking very flash around here these days!
Anyway, I've still got my old T reg 156 2.0 TS, but it's been acting up slightly lately.
When I hit the starter, it fires up straightaway no prob, but is reluctant to go much above idle speed. It idles fine, but press the accelerator and the engine speed doesn't hardly increase at all. So if I put it straight in to first, and let the clutch out, it will only crawl forward.
If I leave it in neutral and let it warm up, and coax it along, eventually it will start to work properly. Once I've got it going, it runs fine with no trouble at all. Now, if this was happening in mid-winter, I wouldn't think too much of it, but it's happening now in mid-summer. As I say, once it's been coaxed into life, it runs fine, and all is well. But I'm concerned that it will start to deteriorate until it won't go at all.
I wondered about plugs, but I don't do much mileage, and the plugs were replaced a couple of years ago, and I'll have done less than 10k miles since then.
Any ideas, guys?
