Help 147 selespeed jerks when accelerating from stand still...

Hi all,

I love my Alfa 147 which I bought about six months ago.

Had no problems with it so far however in the last month it has started to do a 'jerk' movement mainly from first gear when accelerating from a stand still. The revs struggle and seem to jump from 1000 to 2500 whilst only just pushing on the accelerator. It seems to go away at stages but there is obviously something wrong.

I have read other threads regarding the accumulator etc but just wanted to clarify with someone in the know. Do I just need to get it into the garage and service the selespeed (oil, accumulator etc)? I'm no good with engines so will have to get someone else to do it...

Look forward to your responses!!

My friend Bannowhog had a similar issue recently, the MAF was dirty.

I cleaned the MAFwith IPA & its perfect again.
