Maybe I'm an old fool, but I cannot understand how the jack for my 156 is supposed to operate!
This morning found OSF tyre flat and thought, as you would, I'll put that funny spare on and hopefully get the tyre repaired.
For the first time, after a years ownership, lifted out the jack carrier and spare (other than when cleaning) and after loosening the wheel bolts went to insert the jack and raise the car when I could find no way of connecting the jack winding handle, which has hook end to the jack which has a knurled wheel and hex socket operating end.
To my shame had to call out local garage to get wheel changed. They couldn't see how the jack worked either. The spare by the way is absolutely pristine and obviously has never been on the road in the cars 5 year life!
I attach pics of the jack and handle. Does anyone have any ideas different to mine that I just have an incorrect handle?
