Boxing Brake Master cylinder Nightmare 2.4JTD Continued , Update

Hi all

Just an update on the master cylinder replacement nightmare i have been having.

It would appear that the new issue of Brake master cylinders come with a 12mm banjo Bolt outlet this has a 1.5mm thread pitch. Dont know if any one has found one but you cant get a 12mm Banjo which will go onto a standard brake pipe.

This means that the original banjos and bolts do not fit. The manufacturers are convinced their tooling is right Ok continue on then.

I have now a collecion of about 50 Banjos from most Alfas beleive me their tooling is wrong! Heh Ho.

I have discoverd a company

Linden Group Ltd
Unit 1, Leaside North
Aycliffe Industrial Park
Newton Aycliffe
County Durham

Tel: +44 (0) 1325 311331
Fax: +44 (0) 1325 300128

Specialist in Hydaulic hoses JCB's Earth movers down to the small scale stuff major stock of air line connectors retc veritable aladdins cave "boys Stuff"

They are on the case and are making an adaptor for this problem C/W a remade Banjo unit. Excellent service. All items made on the premesis i am also having some of the hoses re-made for the car in Braided type as they are half the price of some of these custom places.

Ill. post some code numbers and references of all the stuff ive found in due course.
