After just spending £480 for a cambelt etc change and due some exhaust work later this week, I was horrified to find that my car had been keyed all down the drivers side.
I had to park round the corner, near the local park, as there is not enough room on our drive.
I spoke to the house in fron t of my car and she had hers damaged too.
She reckoned it was one of the little (insert expletive here) from said park.
She had spoke to police and passed on details of the PC who I need to contact, but not sure if anything can be done.
I can get a crime ref number for insurance but I'm not sure if its covered or how much the excess would be.
Why am I posting this? Well Ive been made redundant and already spent a load on the car, its a 2001 model so it has a few dings here and there, usual shopping trolley dinks etc, so I'm wondering how much to throw at it, I might try get a quote, but also considering using touchup paint but I'm sure it'll look s**t.
Or perhaps run a minute brush with thinners on it to blend it in slightly..
Its a bit deep but polish would reduce the impact, I reckon it'd still be visible. On the front wing its quite light, then it continues to the driver door, under the curve near the top (147) fortunately, moves onto the handle (?) then really deep on the rear wing.
I take really good care of my stuff, my car included, as I'm sure most of us do. Then some &*)*(&£$£% does such a vindictive thing like that which takes seconds and no effort.
I'd like to key they're face.
Any ideas without it costing an absolute $%*^%$* fortune!?
