i try not to reply to tyre related threads as it is so much a matter of personal choice, and "my mate says......" that it doesn't really warrant getting involved.

) was for good quality/quiet/long lasting tyres.
i just tried to point at that as with most things in life you do get what you pay for. the likes of michelin/conti/bridestone/pirelli etc are more expensive because they are
better than some of the others mentioned.
i liken it to washing up liquid. the cheap 20p stuff is still washing up liquid, but it won't do the job/last as long as fairy liquid
