Re: 1.9JTD or JTDm 16v help
The first 1.9 JTD M-jet was rated at 140 PS/225 lb/ft in the 147 and 156, it was factory remapped to 150 PS/ 225 lbs/ft for use in the GT, some 147s and some of the very last 156s. It was badged "JTD 16V M-jet". (M-jet=Multijet)
It was then revised with different injectors that could inject fuel up to 5 times per stroke (3 on the M-jet), a new common rail and different ECU map. It was renamed "JTDm 16V" (m=modificato) and it makes either 150 PS/225 lbs/ft or 170PS/258 lbs/ft and has a lower CO2 figure (although bizarrely this didnt change in the 147).
This engine is used in 147, GT and 159 (with dpf) but NOT the 156. It is badged "JTDm 16v". Some GT JTDm 16Vs are just badged "JTDm" and just to confuse things there is a "JTDm" in the 147 but this 8V. So "JTDm" on the 147 means 8V and on a GT its 16V whether it says so or not. The 156 ONLY got the multijet (both the 140 AND the 150) NOT the JTDm. Some 156 JTD M-jet 16Vs were just badged "JTD M-jet"
The change from JTD M-jet to JTDm was the 2006 model year.
