Fitted the JTD/V6 intake pipe to my 2.0ts last night (already had the BMC filter) - was ok to do even in the dark (by torchlight) lieing on the ground, though did have to jack the car up to lower the under tray enough.
Anyway, throttle response if def better, it pulls more from 1000-3000rpm and picks up quicker (less flat spot) and also seems a bit brisker, and seems much less restricted in its reving from 6K RPM up, revs even freer. Infact a stretch of road where i might floor it and hit about 75, I hit about 78/9.
And as for noise (which the complex orig intake is supposed to deaden)well it sounds no different really, certainkly not in normal use, and no louder overall.
Infact today pulling from 1000rpm in 5th (!), it did sound a little bit more of a deeper rumble (which is good), but basically there seems to be no noise or tone change at all really, so why they fit the 'silencer' in the first place??
Oh and the fact it did pull cleanly (if slowly)from 1000rpm in 5th on a flat road is
Anyway for 9£ and some DIY time, reckon its a must do mod
