what rear disks do I need?

I've got a 2001 156 sportwagen and need to replace the badly scored rear disks.. I don't have the car with me at the moment to measure but I need to find out what size disks I need I've looked online at: Fiat Parts and Alfa Romeo Parts from Shop4Parts

and the choice is between 251mm and 276mm

is there an easy way to tell withough measuring? license starts with AJ51

can anyone help?

Re: what rear disks do I need?

I wouldn't buy them unless you can check the car ...

If the calipers have grooves or fins, then they are the older smaller 251mm discs. If they are smooth, then the larger 276mm discs. I think, but don't quote me, you probably have the larger discs.

Remember the pads are also different for the two types: the smaller disc has the pad with the integral spring, the larger doesn't have the spring and the lugs on the pads are lower down.
