Btw thats a Halogen headlight, the Xenon/HID has a completely different reflector inside. Plus you cannot simply plug and play a set of GTA Xenon lights on the 156, all the wiring will be different.... Xenons require higher voltage, thus different fuses/wires, etc. It'd b a rather extensive and costly project to undertake....not to mention the high costs of purchasing the Xenon headlights as a spare part in the first place (specially given the high cost of this option from the factory)

Thats what I thought, but somewhere in this thread or another, the person who did it said they were HID (lets stop calling them Xenon, cos I have 'Xenon' lights - called Osram Silver star or philips vision plus, and it confusing wink )
But i am not convinced these are HID as on the GTA - are these lights not just the DIY blacked out ones that you have to bake in the oven, albeit perhaps done by some manufacturing coy?
Perhaps all GTA have the blackened lens, but then HID is an option on top of this?
From Looking at the workshop manual
The HID ones are def very different bulb (a HID bulb!)and the lamp is very diff with a control box for the HID which is only on the Dipped beam (still H7 for the main beam)and the multiplug for the HID is very differnet to std H7. SO
Infact looking at them, the bulbd inside for dipped looks standard on these pics?
So can anyone put the record straight are they real HID or just GTA Blacked lights
