About a month back, a taxi guy rammed on my bella and caused it some considerable damage on the front driver's side wheel, fender, lights and bumper. Windscreen washer resevoir damaged. Most damaged parts were replaced and now the car is back, but with only one haunting problem...
1. The VDC light. The garage couldn't fix it. The only alternative is for the car to be taken to the nearest alfa garage, which is 800km away.
2. I would like to avoid this if possible. First, my ABS light is off, the ABS fuse on top of the battery is fine (I disconnected one end and the ABS light came on, reconnected and ABS light off, so its not blown).
3. I also checked the ABS sensor on the affected wheel as my initial suspect. The sensor seems fine.
4. At one point I disconnected the connector to the ABS unit near the selespeed pump. As expected, the ABS light came on. I then reconnected it back and cleared all errors present in the ecu (none gave me a clue towards the VDC light or ABS). After firing up the engine, the all lights were off including the VDC and wallah! Problem solved!
Well as soon as I started moving the car, the light came back on and stayed ever since.
Any ideas? Pointers? Apart from that, the car drives fine!
