This is my opinion only, but I dont like them at all, they look (although I am sure they are not!) cheap. I am getting mine sprayed the same colour as the car including the mounting plates which I hope is going to look a bit better.
The bit I am concerned about in doing that is if I get the odd stone chip they will look ****e, whereas your mirror warmers will still look smart.
Like I said, just my opinion, which is what you asked, so dont shoot me and say nastly things about my wife,,,,,thats my job!
