Chrome Inlet Pipes
I have just purchased a magnificent set of red cam covers / inlet manifold for the V6, in replacement for my original ones. I have noticed that the chrome inlet tubes are a little rusty and pitted in places (mainly at the bottom of the pipes), and am unsure on whether to replace with new or try and clean the existing ones whilst the cam covers and manifold are off.
I have metal polish (Autoglym), although I am unsure whether this is up to tackling the corrosion on the pipes. Has anyone given theirs a thorough clean before, and if so what was used to clean them up!?
