there is not really a nice place to put it by the asr button either, what with the coin slots etc. also I would probably have to take more apart, I think I leave it where it is for now and just get used to it, its not the best place but its not something I use all the time so not to fussed, although with its bright blue light I keep thinking I have dipped lights on.
@ Shad, yep it is the SE Bluetooth kit, its an OK kit bit on the expensive side, as it needs in my opinion the advanced music mute so sound comes through the ALfa speakers rather than one you have to place somewhere in the vehicle, I bought it as it lights up Blue like the Focus RS I bought but obviously I have put it in the Alfa and it contrasts a bit with the red, fitting is quite easy, didn't do the Alfa personally because its wet and miserable out so got someone to do it, lazy eh, but I have done it before and I did wire it up in the Alfa to test it. All it needs is a live, an ignition live and the Adv music mute has ISO connectors so you just plug the speaker wires into the mute module and then plug the mute module into the headunit, the control unit caan be secured in a number of places, like on top of glovebox or something, lots of space in the Alfa for it unlike the Punto, the control buttons are easy to place where I put it too as you undo the two screws and open the flap to the right of steering wheel. The mic wire you take out interior light and feed cable feed through roof lining with a large cable tie or coathanger down the A pillar inside the rubber/plastic stuff and then up under the dash to the control box.
Personally I would go for the kit I fitted to my Punto the Parrot CK3000
its cheaper and has the advanced music mute, works really well with Ericsson phones like the T68 or T610, I have the P800 myself and the kit provides limited functionality as the phone is to complicated but on my old T68 or my partners t610 the kit uploads a control menu to the phone and is packed full of features, very nice. being cheaper the pickup hangup buttons and the mic look a bit cheaper than the HCB30 but the button is smaller and may go in Alfa better(can take a photo if you like) . The parrot is done completely by ISO connector so shouldn't require any rewiring on most cars of course Fiat (Bluapunckt) in there wisdom use standard ISO plug with non standard wiring so you have to change one or two of the wires, easy enough though. Also not sure about how much wattage the CK3000 can handle whereas the HCB30 mute module specifically states 4x40W, but I believe the Heat unit in the Punto is the same as the Alfa High unit and we have had no probs.
Bit of a long post, whoops.
Hope thats helpful and not just waffle
