Re: Tyre Pressure
On board tyre pressure monitoring is a requirement for fitting run-flat tyres; generally the monitoring is only fitted to cars that ship with run-flat tyres from the factory.
Always set the tyre pressures when they are cold: i.e. before driving anywhere that day and before the sun has hit them.
215/45R17 generally have a lower load index than 205/55R16 and require a higher pressure to compensate.
So while a 205/55R16 is fine at 2.2Bar a 215/45R17 is not and will need 2.5Bar (possibly as much as 2.9Bar with the car fully loaded).
ALWAYS set the pressure when cold.
NEVER trust the gauge on a garage airline.
Get your own footpump and pressure gauge and set them at home.
