Still get round the scoob meets and I went to the last two scooby ball's. I'll probably be at the Donnington trackday this Sunday.
To be honest if it was financialy possible for me to swap the Alfa now I would. I'll probably keep it another year and change it before it's third service as I'm not paying for the cam belt change.
I don't think I'll get another Scoob either as my wife suffers from a bad back so I'll be looking for something a bit more comfortable with a sporty edge. Currently thinking along the lines of a 3 year old BMW540i or Jag XJ8 then perhaps get a cheap Westerfield or MK2 Esort for Track days. I even had a drive in a Vauxhall Omega 3.2V6 recently, sports suspension, RWD, 150mph. I thought it was great to drive and well built, £30000 car 3years old for £8500 eek! I could buy a two year old one and have plenty of cash left for a track day toy. Not sure about driving a Vauxhall though wink
As for Alfa dealers I got that fed up with taking time off work for taking the car in and not getting the job done right I decided to do jobs myself. I changed the Lower and Upper Wishbones and the antiroll bar links, the bushes had gone after 14000 miles. The rear stubaxle bushes were replaced at 12000 miles by Alfa.
My car has now done 20000miles, the stub axle bushes are going again as the backend is noisy and jumps over midcorner bumps, I also have knocking from the steering which also is very vague and has a dead feel to it, looking like a problem with the rack. Its been in twice more over the last month for this fault but Alfa can't find anthing wrong.
Don't bother changing your dealer for one of the Notts one's both Autoworld at Chesterfield and Co-op at Nottingham are as bad as each other.
