ellis, Normal running temp is 90. Fans should cut in around 93 - 95 from what i've read on here.
The smaller tank, although a bit unprofessional on the garages part for not fiiting the correct one, should not be a problem as its an expansion tank for the cooling sytem, so as long as it has enough volume to allow for the slight variation in water level within the cooling system I cant see there being a problem (The level will be slightly higher in the tank when the system is cold)
105 is not normal, could be due to an airlock in the system, I would take it back to garage for them to sort out. They should have checked this before handing the car back.
