Alfa GT with 159 lights
An interesting thread which I actually found through Google, when checking out if a conversion had been carried out. The GT has much in its favour, but is basically an elongated 147. A more individual front end would have lent it greater singularity. The Mito suggestions are impractical and just wrong. The stated and official design philosophy of the Mito was to plunder the successful design elements of the exotic 8C and thus bestow some aesthetic kudos on a humble Punto platform. It's an object lesson to make the 'point' that this doesn't work. Fiat (Alfa) should have learnt from the clumsy face lift of the Mark 2 Punto, where they took a perfect front and tried to graft on the style of the Stilo with Frankensteinesque results.
The 159/Brera headlights are a design tour de force and for my money, the photos of the conversion suggest that this individual has had better transplant results that official artisans in the field.
Just on the Brera- looks wise, easy on the eye but not a patch on the original prototype. Google it.
