Red is the only colour and I can't have black because as everyone knows, black is a very expensive colour and no, if I'm potentially going to spend 100's and 100's of pounds on brakes, I'm not going to splodge gloopy Hammerite all over them. Hindsight tells me that painting anything with Hammerite that may become hot (like a brand new white enamel cooker) is not such a great idea and usually involves one cross wife, a trip to the tip and a second trip to the cooker shop.

You could, of course, get some stove enamel from your local emporium of DIY delight. Comes in a variety of pretty colours and is, strangely, highly resistant to heat and chipping. Unlike JTDs.
