The second one in the new list is still a grand over the top, even with a rebuilt engine and in any case next year it's due the belts again.
The suspension issues are not just an Alfa thing, it's all cars, but Alfas just let you know they need fixing by introducing a knocking noise to every bump. It's down to the lifespan of the rubber used in the bushes and the ammount of salt the councils throw down over here for no need in the winter, they just perish.
The belts on all T Sparks, JTS and Selespeed models (as most are just a 2.0 T Spark) are 36,000 Miles or 3 years whichever comes sooner, this was updated after the manuals were printed and even now the manual still says 5 years or 72,000, so ignore the manual and go with the new shorter life. It will cost you less than repairing/replacing the engine when the belt snaps/strips teeth the week after it should have been done.
