alfa gt electric window fault

Hi i posted a thread a while ago about the drivers side electric window on my gt not working i tried a new switch which did not work i have had it looked at and have been told its the control box which in turn has burnt out the motor,the parts are fairly expensive from alfa so i was wondering if they are compatible with ant other alfa before i take the plunge any advice greatfully recieved thanks.

theres lots of brakers around should be able to get the parts far cheaper than new!

Hi, I had a similar problem, happily my car was still under warranty as it involved several unsuccessful visits to the dealer. Sometimes the drivers window would only move very slowly in small steps. Sometimes it wouldn't move at all. Several visits to the dealer in the drivers window joined in. Happily I was always able to get the window back up. To cut a (VERY) long story short switches were replaced and control boxes and there was still a problem until they reset the computer in some way. Hope this helps if you find the obvious solutions don't work.
