ok thanks is the ribe tool classed as a star bit only im looking at a socket set that comes with some
No Ribe bits are different.
You want a metric socket set. AF is no good to you.
Halfords sets are as good as any for diy use
You will find removing the sump with the car on axle stands quite a fiddle.
As well as the long ribe mentioned by Sears, you will need a smaller m6 ribe also long, for the 'hidden' fixings where the sump fits behind the flywheel. These are hard to get at, particularly when putting them back in.
Also, the bolt that holds the bottom of the bracket with the bearing for the central driveshaft is difficult to get at, you can't see it. A basic socket set will not have the variation in socket extentions to get at this bolt.
If you do manage to get it all undone, you will find that when you lower the sump it will get caught on the oil pump pick up pipe. this needs removing (2 bolt) & the sump will come off.
This is not an easy job without a comprehensive tool kit, particularly on your back.
