Thanks, a job for next weekend + check the under seal for damage.

For the last 25 years of Alfa ownership I have regularly sprayed and occasionally cleaned the suspension components including all the rubber mountings etc. Seems to help keep all the noises at bay and stops the corrosion.
On one of my Alfas, a 1983 Alfetta GTV I also used to spray and clean the underside of the car with CRC.
When I sold the car after 20 years, and 60,000 miles,it still had the original suspension components. (Checked out by an alfa Speciallist)Normally I would have expected that after 20 years the the rubber components would be buggered. So maybe the WD40/CRC did help.
The use of WD40/CRC on the old Alfas under the mud guards etc also help prevent the dreaded tin worm that these cars could get.
Also prevented corrosion of the Alloy gearbox and engine.
