Re: Can't immobilize a 156 alarm!
i have a similar problem i have lost the immobiliser chip for my car so cant start it.
you only really have one option and that is to drive it to an alfa dealer buy the key code from them unless you already have it. i just got mine yesterday. cost 18 quid for a bit of paper. b a s t a r d s.
you will have 3 numbers 1 is for the immobiliser, one for the remote alarm (your problem) and one for something else. cant remember what.
once you have shelled out for that you then need to hand them more money (around 30 quid) and they will code the key to your car. problem solved.
think youself lucky. at least you can drive yours to the dealer. even if it does look like you have nicked it. i need a transporter and a second hand key to code to my car.
and remember to put a new battery in the key fob.
if you only have the one key but you have keys of the donor vehicle you used take one of those with you and get it coded as well so you have a spare. you can get key blades from ebay and get them cut then you have a new key. a lot cheaper than the £200 alfa will charge you.
you cant get keys coded one at a time either they all have to be done at the same time.
