Re: Emergency tailgate and fuel cap opening
Not sure about the fuel, but on my GT the emergency cord for opening the boot is in one of the handle recesses on the inside of the boot lid (the handles you'd normally use to pull the boot shut) - on mine it's a red cord about 2" long. There is a small hole drilled inside the handle recess that the cord sticks out of. It doesn't stick through very much so if yours has got pulled back in to the recess you might need a coat hanger or something similar to fish it out.
If your boot is closed and you have the seats down, then the cord should be in the handle on the right hand side of the car (driver's side) or on the left as you look rearwards.
Hope that helps.
P.S I'll go look for the fuel cap cord now for you
EDIT: The cord for the fuel cap is tucked up behind where the filler cap is inside the boot, towards the top of the side, underneath the little plastic "drawers" that you can store items in within the boot. Again it's a red cord - mine is much longer than the boot release though (about 8" long). If you can't see it obviously check it isn't tucked behind the trim.
