Also worth getting the brakes (and clutch) bled, and if your doing that may as well change the fluid (castrol RS I used - seems good). My brand new 156 always had spongey brakes. So at 18months old i finally got round to bleeding them, and guess what, had a fair bit of air in it - basically when they built it late one friday afternoon, after a few hours down the pub, they forgot to bleed the system properly.
Now the feel is SOOO much firmer, and bite better, on the original pads. But def going for Ferodo DS sport pads(as they are now called) when they need changing. its also an easy DIY job (see one of the threads for about Discs on a 147, where someone asked me about changing disks on their 156 - but stop at the bit about removing caliper and recover pads!!!)
Hold the rear end slide....don't run wide!
