I've had experience of Perrys in Aylesbury and to be honest i'd rather slam IT in a car door!

However, I have used MIdle Barton Garage for lots of work and can vouch for them. Well worth a try. Not only proper mechanics, but also a fascinating place with lots of oddities. Well worth a visit if not a call.

Thanks for everyone's input - I actually ended up taking it to Perrys way out to the North somewhere. Which was a mistake. I only got them to reset the airbag warning light (cable underneath passenger seat had coiled around the runner and pulled out. 50+ in a <3 year old car), I'll look up P&P for the MOT and service. There's another little indie I've seen at the top of Jericho, right next door to the Anchor pub called Alladdins if anyone's heard of them/knows anything about them? I live and work in Summertown so taking my car out in the mornings is a pain...!

On a related subject: I collared one of these mobile scratch repair guys in my office car park last week, he came round last night to look at mine and fixed it then and there:
  • Resprayed the boot up to the top line (where someone had rear-ended me in the ice);
  • Took out a group of scratches from my rear bumper (same accident);
  • Polished and repaired a group of nasty scratches on my front fender where a truck dumped a load of stones onto the motorway in front of me;
  • Refurbished my wheel after the Mrs took it out for a drive and ran a third of the rim into the curb.

Total cost was 140 and I'm very happy with the work he's done - you can't tell at all where he's worked (aside from the new omission of any damage!) and it's Stromboli Grey - a colour I would have expected very difficult to match.

I'll post his number up if anyone wants it? He seems to cover a pretty wide area and he's part of a larger company that has technicians pretty much across the South.
Yes I'd like the number please, am looking for a recommended scratch remover. Is he a local guy or a franchise of a national?

I'd also recommend Palmer & Phillips, got bad news about my MOT but they were more than happy for me to do some of the work myself and source parts alot cheaper for them to fit without any issues, saved s...

P & p

I never like to hear about the demise of yet another Indie, particularly when it is P&P.
Should you however need your Alfa serviced or repaired then we are at hand to help you out.
Superleggera have been involved with Alfa Romeo's, FIAT's and Lancia's for over 30yrs and in that time have supplied customers up and down the country with vehicles that we know inside out. We specialise in Diesels, particularly as we race one, but are just as happy with a petrol too!
Should you wish to check us out, then we are on the main road between Bicester and Thame in the village of OAKLEY. Pop in for a coffee and a chat...we are open 6 days a week and by appointment on Sundays!
