As some of you are aware my car gives me the odd MCSF reporting a "boost error", finally attached my car to alfadiag and I've got these additional parameters ...
Failed Component Code: Boost pressure sensor
Fault Symptom: Signal Not Plausible
Warning Lamp Status: Warning Lamp Illuminated
Fault Code Storage State: Error Present at time of request
Event Count: 64 count
Environmental Condition One: Engine Speed: 800.02 rpm
Environmental Condition Two: Fuel Quantity: 42.04 mm3/str
Environmental Condition Three: Accelerator Pedal: 13.73 %
Environmental Condition Four: Rail Pressure: 564.7 Bar
Environmental Condition Five: Turbo Pressure: 564.72 mBar
Environmental Condition Six: Engine Temperature: -40 °C
Everything looks fine (I think!!!) apart from the engine temperature, which seems a bit on the cold side
... could this be the problem? if so it looks like more than likely I've got a dodgy connection to the temp sender ... but then surely I'd get a temp sender failure rather than a boost failure????
