Re: Temp going to high when stoped.
My radiator fans did turn faster with 12v applied to them straight from the car's battery than they did when activating normally on the highest speed, which would indicate some sort of resistance in the circuit somewhere, but I suppose that is to be expected. But neither of the two resistor packs were for the 'high speed', they were both for the low speed AFAIK, one resistor pack for each fan. Now the difference in the fan speeds was not loads but enough to be noticeable. I've removed all the resistors for the fans now and re-wired it so the fan comes on with a full 12v where it would normally just come on at a low speed, but my car does suffer from lack of cooling especially in summer..
