Driveshaft - 156 JTD 16v
Just become the proud owner of another JTD 16v (I must change my username on here!)
Anyway, just before I bought the car, it had a new clutch fitted. The car apparently has not done many miles since.
Driving it home yesterday around 100 miles, I noticed after a while a kind of knocking sound coming from the drivers side wheel area. When I got the car home, the whole of the driveshaft area/side of engine are covered in oil - it is clearish oil so presume it is not the engine oil.
As the gearbox has been off, I presume that the driveshaft has not been fitted correctly and may have "popped" out? Is this a possible accurate situation?
The knock is not loud, but is always there even when I knock the revs off. It progressively gets faster as I go faster.
Anyone had a similar issue or can shed some light on this?
