What wheels do you have?
Supersport wheels (pictured) are 7" wide, right? And I guess it should have offset around 40.5mm like newer Alfa 17"x7" wheels. If the spacer adds 10mm, you get a 7" wide rims with 30.5mm offset, which is the same offset as teledials 17". This will clear 156/147 fenders.
GTA 5-hole wheels have 35-36mm offset (I still can't confirm this number) but they fit 156/147 spot on without the need for spacers to make them sit outward.
So it depends on your wheel offset (and to an extent, width) that determines fender / arches clearance. 17"x7" and 7.5" with offset ranging from 30.5mm - 35mm should clear the arches and fenders. If you exceed 38mm, it should only be 7" wide or it won't clear the inside.
