I'm going to a track day on Sunday, and I'd like to test the 147 a little with no silly electronic safety net. Anyone know which fuse to remove? Am I right in remembering that it's the same fuse for ABS and VDC? Hope to get a good reply! (not just Ivo bragging about beemers, and Nem bragging about his tractor engine!)
I will be interested in what you think.I also played with it,and felt the car was better with the VDC off,but..................with it on the car was faster, the cornering speeds were increased by at least 10mph.But as I say,it was more fun with it off
tyres made a big differnce to my car.i always used partworns and the handled differently with all of them.On the Toyos the car oversteered,on Dunlops understeered and on Bridgestone Res' the car slid on all 4!
be careful with the ABS/EBD fuse out, try some braking manouvers first. when i tried it, it was very dangerous.... do not attempt to brake mid-corner on mid-high speeds... or else try it out in the open first.
bear in mind that with no EDB and no balancing valves (or whatever they're called) between front & rear, the brake bias becomes 50-50 front-rear, unlike pre-ABS cars which were like 75-25, for example.
