Alfa GT JTD P1238
I have a JTD which is showing the 'Motor Control Failure' warning message. It first started in the winter and resulted in limp home mode and I thought it was associated with heavy throttle before the engine was warm. The error code is P1238 - Air Control Negative Governor (I paraphrase because i am away from my car) according to Alfadiag and now shows up on just about every restart, but doesn't give limp home mode anymore.
I have tried cleaning the EGR before anyone suggests it and yes I have tried searching the forums but don't see anybody mentioning the Air Control Governor.
I did see a comment about chipping. Mine is chipped, so should I get it restored to normal? I need to sell my car soon, so please help, I need the cheapest fix I can make.
Is it a leak in a pipe? turbo on the way out?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
