Alternator / battery info required

Anyone know how much power an Alfa draws off the alternator - I know it varies depending whether you've got you lights on etc?

This relates to a device I saw somewhere that gets all the elctrical stuff in the car to draw their power from the battery instead of the alternator when you put the accelerator to the floor and then when you ease off the accelerator the alternator recharges the battery.

From my rough mathematics, my Alfa comes with a 60Ah battery which equates to 720 Watts which is about .5 BHP which to be honest isn't much of a gain
