its all gone bang

Bit gutted tonight as my 2.0L selespeed engine has gone bang in spectacular style, i've parked her up for the night and tomorrow i need to get it towed to a garage, the problem i have is , is it ok to tow the car as its semi auto, i know full auto's should'nt be towed, anyone have any ideas.....cheers.

Re: its all gone bang

Just put it in neutral and tow it,its a normal manual box and clutch with an electrohydraulic gearchange(actuator).

It's likely to be more cost-effective to replace the engine rather than rebuild, unless its a "simple" cambelt snap - in which case a recon head, all new belts/tensioners, and a set of big-end shells will fix it...

Re: its all gone bang

you should be able to select N without a running engine.
then tow as a manual, as alreayd stated.
