Wheel Paint

Has anyone managed to find a silver wheel paint that makes a good match with the standard color? My 5 pots are starting to let the car down and as the spring is here I was thinking of sprousing them up a bit

also has anyone had their cloverleaf wheels refinished in gunmetal gray? I think that they would look

Re: Wheel Paint

Used that paint on mine, its called vogue silver, it is slightly duller than the original paint, though it still looks good.
Only really noticed it on mine, as so far ive only done the back wheels
So when viewing the car from the side it is noticable

Re: Wheel Paint

Just go for a standard silver basecoat with more heavy grounded mica/alu flakes. The size of the flakes is rated in a scale from 1 to 10 I think.
Go to a car paint dealer and he will show you samples to see the difference. With bigger flakes the apperance will match the original paintwork very well, more sparkling effect. As for the colour matching std. silver will do fine.
I have repainted two rims on my friends GT using that paint with very good matching result. In that case it was Sikkens paint but I believe every car paint manufacturer can offer the same product.
Cheers and good luck.
