haha, yup, I get pretty excited when I rev it up, especially now because I'm new to the sound.
But I did the test just then with the SPEED function of the 147. And it DID get to 100km/h in second!!!
Alright here's what I did:
1. Set the speed limit of the car too 100km/h, so that when the car reaches that speed, an alarm goes off
2. Looked for a road an floored it in second. I've also made sure that the road doesn't decend downhill
The rev limiter cuts in at (or just past) 7000 rpm, I couldn't tell because it was all happening very quickly. When the rev limiter cuts in, the alarm hadn't gone off yet, which means that at 7000 rpm in secoud gear, the 147 does not get to 100 km/h. But about half a second (or less) after the rev limiter cut it, the alarm went off!!! eek! And I was still in second gear!!! Which means that the speed did not drop at the point where the rev limiter cuts, it increased for about half a second longer before it starts dropping. Now does this have anything to do with the intake????
And can someone carry out the same test and justify this????
