Interesting thread this. I'm in the process of getting my car compliance checked for New Zealand, having just imported it from the UK. The only things I've been pulled up on are my front brakes (needs new discs and pads), head lights not working (probably fuse or relay) and...wait for it...a leaking trailing arm bush!
Now let me start out by stating that the inspector has got nothing to gain from telling me to replace this and that. I can do the work myself and get the parts from where ever I like. To demonstrate, when I went to pick the car up, the inspector reached under the car for the front of the off-side trailing arm and came back out with oil (or some black liquid substance) on his fingers. Anyway, I'll be having a look at it myself tomorrow and will report back what I find. For the record, mine is an 02 GTA, if that makes any difference???
