Haven't been on here for a long time - without saying too much, life can get worse. And it did.
So, Ive got this beautiful 156 Sele Sportwagon in my back garden. 2002, 48,000 miles, busted variator. Had it since new, oil changed every 6,000 miles. SORN for 4 years.
I've saved up and bought a new variator, cam belt, tensioner, balance shaft belt and tensioner and cam locking tools.
So. Today. Wash/degrease engine and bay. Covers off.
And how does this beautiful beast repay me? At least one lobe on ecah cam is worn down past the machining. Perhaps 2mm max.
Advice please folks. How many miles have I got. How much for new cams?
