Hissing pedals

I have developed a hissing brake pedal. Every time it is pressed it makes a hissing sound (obviously air is coming out of somewhere) and feels quite 'squelchy' also when pressed. The brakes themselves seem fine. This ironically happened the same day i managed (i hope) to solve my creaking bl**dy clutch pedal.....damn pedals!

Does anyone know what this could be?

Re: Hissing pedals

Here's a thread on the Alfa156.net:

mine started hissing after a fluid change - brought it back to the alfa dealer and he showed me all the others doing the same thing, tho i never noticed it before - and i dont notice it now
i think there is some pressure release in the servo diaphram

must admit it had me worried on my v6 at first
but 18 months later still had full servo assistance
Please tell me there isn't a SNAKE IN THE FOOTWELL
If in doubt, get it checked!
