Battery Specs

Does anyone understand battery speak, and can anyone assist in telling me whether the following battery is suitable for the Alfa 147 2.0 sele?

The battery fitted has the following characteristics, per a battery fitment centre:
Amp Power : 50
Coal Cranking : 260
Number of plates : 11

What does all of this mean? The above battery was fitted by an Alfa dealer, but the fitment place suggested I go for a Ampower=63 and CoalCRanking=350 (13 plates) battery. Only problem would have been that battery too big to fit in Battery bay.

Any help would be great!

I'm not sure what those values are for, Coal Cranking (or cold cranking ). But you should stick with the same amp rating as original battery, or slightly higher if the exact match isn't available. The number of plate, I guess, is the number of conductor plates inside the battery.

My 2.0 TS battery has 60Ah 320A written on it, so if the 2 values you mentioned correspond to mine then the battery you are being offered could be a bit underpowered, but should be OK
