Re: 2.0 ts Top speed

I managed to get an indicated 135mph out of mine. But it was on a slight downhill.
It'll get up to and stay at 130 all day though. On a private test bowl of course!

Re: 2.0 ts Top speed

i checked my speedo in my last car fiat coupe and it was very accurate even at high speed, speedo showed 140 and sat nav showed 139, so not all speedo`s are 10% over.

Re: 2.0 ts Top speed

Well i must say upon til 80mph the speedo and sat nav are even Stevens. But after that the speedo's out by about 5mph until 120 and then matches again! Too many people were on the track to get the top speed. So I have to pay my money and have a play another day

Re: 2.0 ts Top speed

No not all speedos are 10% in accurate, its just FROM NEW, a manufacturer can build there car with a speedo that car be within a 10% margin of accuracy.

Re: 2.0 ts Top speed

as the speed of a 156 is calcualted via the abs system it also depends on how worn the tyres are, new tyres will have a larger rolling diameter than worn tyres, won't be a 10% DIFFERENCE.

Also i recently replaced my car's white dials with black/red dials. The b/r dials are much more accuarte when compared to my sat nav than the white dial speedo was, the white speedo was 8% out at 100 kph

Re: 2.0 ts Top speed

Managed to hold it consistently at over 135mph for a good while. Used a lot of fuel during that run, but I think 135 is quick enough.
